Lol donkaments

I have a few things to say today. Firstly, I made a video for Ian (Ladymuck) to watch of me playing the $50NL on Absolute. I'm going to post it here in case anyone else wants to watch it. I think it's a decent video and it really shows how well isolating limpers and being aggressive works. The link is http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HJYR7Q6S.

My friend who I go to bridge with on Friday night is a big fan of tournament poker. I don't know why. I try to tell him how stupid he is, and I think he knows, but he doesn't care. Anyway, he likes to play the $100+9 MTT on Party at midnight on a Friday if he doesn't go out after bridge. So I said I'd play it with him for a laugh today - and I got 4th! Lol donkaments. I took just over $1800 for it, although I was really disappointed that I didn't get higher. To be honest, it was actually quite entertaining once it got down close to the money.

The $400s are going well this month. I think I've really gotten a good grasp of them now. I've also gotten looser in the last week or so. I think I might be a little over aggressive in some spots, but it seems to be working well so I'm going to carry on as I am. I think it's carrying across into real life though - tonight at bridge I was way too aggressive with my bidding! I couldn't help it!

I watched The Talented Mr Ripley the other day. I really like Matt Damon, but I didn't rate this film that much. It was OK, just not really my cup of tea. However, I absolutely loved the song him and Jude Law sang in the jazz club, so I went and checked out what it was. It was a song by The Puppini Sisters, and I can't get enough of them now! I've never really listened to this style of music before so I'm quite excited to see what else is out there like this.

So we're half-way through the month now. I've played just over 14k hands at $400NL. I want to play 40k hands this month, but I think I'm on course to be honest. I took six days off so I've played an average of around 1.7k hands a day. I also have seemed to have developed an ability to play longer sessions. This is great because it'll make hitting my hand target easier.

Hands played: 14,296
Hands needed: 18,200

You are deff becoming more aggro, in the short time we played together Fri night your VPIP went up 2, that's a lot considering it's a total for all hands we've played to raise that much in an hour.
