Sunday 25th May

I guess as I started doing it last time I'll keep track of my 2/4 results on here. I've now played 4257 hands and I'm running at 2.79BB/100. Here's one hand from my last session that confused me:

I don't get it.
This was the weirdest hand of my session, and I'm still not sure of the best way to have played it. The BB was playing really tight, and I wasn't really sure what part of his cold-calling range hit this flop hard enough for him to have me beat. I guessed he could have TT or low diamonds, but I really wasn't sure. I also didn't think he'd min c/r a low diamond draw here as it really didn't make much sense. I make a call on the flop and he leads 2/3 pot ish on the turn. I thought for a long while here about what to do. If I shove, I think I'm only ever getting called if I'm behind. Maybe he calls AQ or AJ (particularly with a diamond) though. In the end I decided to call and fold to a river shove as the bet on the river was still going to be a significant portion of the pot. A 4th diamond falls and he leads tiny. This was really confusing to me. The only hand that really made sense was a low flush that was scared of the 4th diamond, however I didn't think he played the low flush draws like that on the flop. I thought TT was still a possibility, but this line just didn't make any sense to me in general. I decided to call - I think I'm behind a reasonable amount, but I wanted to see what this fucker had anyway as I had position on him for the session. I was very confused.

Assuming he is really tight, I'd say he reraises KK,AA always preflop. So as you deduce TT is the only set he is likely to have in his range.
I also think QJ is a very unlikely holding given preflop tightness.
If he is really very tight then I'd assume his range to be somewhat along the lines of JJ,AQ,TT, AJs.
When I first saw the hand my first instinct was to reraise the flop here 100%, then I thought about it and I still think its a reraise. There are a lot of action killing turn cards, a Q, a J, a diamond and I think his range is wide enough so I'd play it fast for value and hope he doesn't show me better.

I think you're overanalyzing the river, and it's a pretty easy fold.
