At Noel's (P-Town baby!)

So I'm out here in Petaluma now. I left my camera at the 2+2 guys' house on Tuesday night, so I'll basically steal Noel and Andrew's pictures at some point. I guess I should talk about Tuesday back in Vegas before I get onto Petaluma.

The tournament we played had about 14-16 players and was a $20 rebuy. There weren't many rebuys though. There was a $10 add-on on the break too. The top four got paid, the bubble got a free pass to next week's game. I bubbled the bubble with a sick cooler. Two people limped in and I looked down to see a J in the small blind and had to jam my 15bbs or whatever I had. Unfortunately I'd been trapped good and proper by TT and my unsuited splasher didn't spike. Oh well. I went and played beer pong instead.

About half way through the night these two girls turned up and one of them had actually driven down from Petaluma either tha day or the day before. It was a pretty bizarre coincidence with me going in the morning. The rest of the night we just drank basically. A few of the guys went off to the Rhino, but baseball beer pong sounded more appealing to me so I stuck around to do that. It was a really cool game that I have little to no chance of remembering the rules to. I wish we'd had beer pong back in the UK when I was at uni as it's such an awesome game to play.

I got a 9.30am flight to San Francisco the next morning, and felt incredibly rough getting up for it. I get up early anyway, and I've been up at around 7 each morning in Vegas - especially as it's so bright then. But getting up after going to bed at 3am or something was pretty tough. I felt fine on the flight though after a nice strong black coffee, and once I was in SF I was doing ok.

We had around a half hour wait for Andrew to get in so we nailed an Anchor Steam Pint at the TGI's in the airport. Then we headed down to Gordo's Taqueria to get a super burrito with carnitas. Man, they're good. I wish we had such amazing Mexican food back home. After that we took a walk through a park (I forget what it was called), and then headed to Haight Street which is a really unique cool street with a bunch of funky shops and people around. On the way we walked through a pretty dodgy area of this park with a bunch of homeless people and drug addicts hanging out. I assumed it was safe as Noel had taken us through there, but afterwards I realised that Noel was a bit unsure of it himself! What a great tour guide!

We also headed down to Pier 39 to see the sea lions/otters/whatever the hell they are. They just kinda hang out on these wooden boards and make a lot of noise. It's really cool and unusual and a good tourist attraction. Then we headed back to Noel's in Petaluma and had some beer and pizza there. Andrew and I were both pretty tired after a long day so we headed back to our place around 10 I think and hit the sack.

This morning I hung out with Noel at a coffee shop just round the corner from mine for a little while, and then headed to his to sweat him for a session. Andrew joined us pretty soon after and we finished off the session, went out and got food and beer, and headed to Dillon beach. On the way we tried to see the crazy ostrich by Noel's dad's house, but it wasn't there for some reason. The next stop was to see the camel that hangs out in a field with a bunch of cows, and boy did we see the camel. Noel pulled over so we could get a proper look and a picture, and as we were standing there it starts heading over to us. It came right up to the fence and started spazzing out a little. Those guys both got cool videos of it, so I'll try and get them up at some point. It was seriously hilarious and we didn't know whether it was nice/going to spit/going to go crazy and try and attack us! Noel's son, Marcello, was loving it!

The beach was awesome. We played some football, jumped some waves, drank some beers, etc. I taught Marcello the Wipeout surfy song, so hopefully he'll remember that one. The kid is big into his music! He was singing/rapping along to Noel's music on the drive back!

Right now I'm just hanging out in the back yard of the place we're staying with a coffee, then we're heading over to Noel's in a bit. I think we're probably going to get some Mexican food (I have to make the most of it whilst I'm here!), and drink some beer. Maybe we'll head to some bar or something later.

EDIT - I have a disgusting spot in a disgusting place. When I was younger I never really got spots, but when I was 17 I got about four in a row on my arse. Well, I have another! I had to get a picture of it so here you go! It's seriously ferocious, and pretty painful.
